Und auch wenn Ellen "nur" das E im Namen bekommen hat, steht sie doch ganz am Anfang unserer Geschichte. Unsere Wurzeln liegen nicht in einem Businessplan, sondern in der Katastrophe. Als die Flut 2021 unser Ahrtal verwüstete, hat sie unser Leben für immer verändert. Ellens Betrieb, direkt an der Ahr gelegen, wurde von den Wassermassen mitgerissen und bis heute nicht wiederaufgebaut. Gleichzeitig war ich, Toni, als Feuerwehrmann von der ersten Sekunde an im Einsatz, um zu retten, zu helfen, zu schützen. Doch mein damaliger Arbeitgeber zeigte kein Verständnis für die Notwendigkeit dieses Einsatzes, und so trennten sich unsere Wege. Nach Monaten, in denen wir all unsere Kraft für die Hilfe anderer eingesetzt hatten, mussten wir an uns selbst denken. Wir standen beide ohne finanzielle Sicherheit da, vor den Trümmern unserer bisherigen Existenzen. Die Seele unserer Kerzen sind Düfte, die zu 100% aus destillierten Kräutern, Pflanzen und Blüten gewonnen werden – reine Natur für Ihr Zuhause. Die einzige Kleinigkeit, die sie vom Vegan-Label trennt, ist der Klebepad des Dochtes. Diese Transparenz ist uns wichtig. Allein in die Perfektionierung dieses Dochtes haben wir zwei Jahre Arbeit investiert. Unser Ziel war es, dass er das Wachs vollständig und sauber verbrennt und dabei eine ruhige, wunderschöne Flamme erzeugt, die Wärme und Geborgenheit schenkt. Heute finden Sie uns fast jedes Wochenende auf den bunten Mittelaltermärkten des Landes. Dieser Weg ist unser neues Leben. Wir lieben die Atmosphäre, die Menschen und den direkten Kontakt zu Ihnen.
